My apologies for the extended period of light posting, but I’ve got more funny running news on Twitter. Follow me!
Sorry about the lack of updates to the blog lately. In the meantime, check out our Twitter timeline for the latest in funny running stories.
Whether you’re a runDisney veteran or just want to know what all the hoopla is about, check out these Twitter feeds, official and otherwise. Most have associated blogs and web sites as well.
I only just became aware of the Status People site, which evaluates your Twitter followers and categorizes them as “good,” “inactive” or “fake.” The idea is to help you determine how many actual people are reading your tweets, and how many are spammers or simply not monitoring their Twitter accounts anymore.
Check your own percentages and those of anyone else on Twitter. I am happy to report that @RunningIsFunny has zero fakers! By contrast, @RunnersWorld has 17% fakers, and only 44% “good” followers.
Apparently it helps to have a national print publication, a huge online presence, a large staff, and a lot of cross-pollination.
