Friday Five: New Terms for Getting Outkicked at the Finish
We all know getting “chicked” is when a woman sprints past you at the finish, and “geezered” is when an old dude does it. But why be so limiting? LOTS of different people run me down, and I don’t want to discriminate:
1) Blimped. You’re beaten by someone over 250 pounds.
2) ‘Stumed. You’re beaten by someone wearing a costume.
3) Prammed. You’re beaten by someone pushing a stroller.
4) Tweened. You’re beaten by someone 12 years of age or younger.
5) TNTed. You’re beaten by someone in full Team In Training gear.

At the L.A. Marathon last year, I encountered a man dressed up as an enormous scrotum — he was trying to promote awareness about testicular cancer. That inspired me to run my heart out. There was no way I was going to be ‘stumed by him.
Haha! You just made my Friday. (Aside from the fact that being Friday alone, makes it Friday.) LOVED “prammed.”
I think getting beaten by a guy dressed as a scrotum (photo here) deserves its own term: “sacked.”
This totally made my day! LOL! :)
LOVE THIS.
I would also like to add, ‘Mericaned, for those times when I’ve been passed by the douchebag in American flag shorts.
So humiliating.
You were gonfaloned.
Damn – ALL of those things have happened to me. I’m generally pretty wasted and pathetic by the time I reach the finish line. In my defense, however, I have never yet been “sacked”. The shame would be more than I could bear.
Maybe, “footed” for getting passed by someone running barefoot (unless you are also barefoot.) Or “Vibramed”, for getting passed by someone wearing Vibram Five Fingers? I know I’ve “Vibramed” a few people in my day (sounds a bit dirty though.)
