Unfortunate Headline of the Week

The Bay Area News Group wanted to honor the best performances of high school girls’ cross-country racing this year. But if you go to its story about seven outstanding girl runners, you won’t find a headline. That’s because the original headline (still visible in the title at the top of your web browser) was:

“High school cross-country girls All-BANG team”

Just the thing parents want to hear from their teenage daughter – “Mom, Dad, I made the All-BANG team!”
