NBC’s Biggest Loser Damage Control
Stung by The Biggest Loser marathon controversy, NBC’s Al Roker interviewed Dane Patterson and trainer Jillian Michaels on The Today Show this morning. Here is the full segment. It still seems as though NBC and Patterson are more upset about getting caught and having to deal with the stink than sorry about trying to deceive their viewers.

Seriously, all NBC had to do was pay the race organizers to keep the finish line marker there and everything would have been fine. No one would have had to lie or take a ride. The whole situation is just pathetic really.
The funny thing is that they DID keep the finish line open. I read in one of these articles that the time limit was flexible every year.
Am I the only one that found that comment far funnier than it probably deserves to be?
I would have respected them if they’d just accepted that they didn’t make the time cutoff (if there really was one) to be official finishers, celebrated completing the distance no matter what their time, and vowed to train for another marathon. Getting a ride, taking a finisher’s medal, and then the rest of this sorry business is just shitty.
Blaine, that term has creeped into general use – creeped being the operative word.
He really needs to give that medal back.
What an @$$hole.
He lived up to the show’s name. A Big Loser.
Reality TV? Really?
