Biggest Loser: I’m Keeping the Medal
The Los Angeles Times TV blog quotes Dane Patterson:
“The medal was given. I would not give that back. I’m proud of it.”
Also:
“In my mind I ran the full 26 miles.”
Cool. In my mind, I’m running Boston next month.

I’m no longer watching The Biggest Loser over this whole story.
Those are some pretty unbelievable quotes too. I take huge exception to the medal thing – I would do anything for one of those marathon medals, but I’m certainly NOT taking one I did not earn by running exactly 26.2 miles. The medal was given to him because the people passing them at the end didn’t realize yet that he CHEATED.
Yeah, and in my mind I’m married to Gerard Butler. Just because my delusional little mind enjoys that fantasy does not make it real.
What an unbelievable twit.
[...] Running is Funny said it best (these are highlights from the LA Time article): “The medal was given. I would not give that back. I’m proud of it.” [...]
“In my mind I ran the full 26 miles!!!!”
I don’t know who he is because the only english speaking TV I have here is Criminal Minds…but…what a twit!
That comment made me laugh out loud
LOL…hey, can I join you in Boston? After all, I want to BQ at my next marathon, and I might as well learn the course now!
I’m in for Boston too! If it was anyone else they would be like What the heck were you thinking. DQ. What a lameo for even doing this. And to run ALL 23 miles and THEN quit. Seriously that shows some lack of commitment and heart.
oh that’s rich. In my mind I’ve climbed Mt. Everest…FIRST! yes! and I’ve walked on the moon! and made a million dollars. And lost 20 lbs. Whee!
Did MY medal get lost in the mail or something???
